HEIDI & MARTIN | MARRIED

The day started like any other. I had breakfast, was excited to photograph the love and joy of Heidi and Martin's wedding, and looked over the plan we had made for the day. Then BAM! Sheets of rain poured down over Minneapolis. The clouds were dark grey and rolled in so quickly, that it felt like we were in an apocalyptic movie!

I arrived at Heidi and Martin's house, and we couldn't believe what was happening outside. The wedding was to be outside and we had no cover, save for the reception tent. Thankfully, after many deep breaths, lots of prayers, and tons of support from friends and family, the sun came out and the couple was wed. What a great reminder that, like weather, life can be unpredictable and messy but in the end, with love and support, things always turn out the way they are meant to...sometimes with a beautiful rainbow.

How truly fitting it was, and eerily on point, that their recessional song was "I Can See Clearly Now." All the best wishes to the happy couple and newly joined family!
