It's not very often that I let myself take a vacation. In fact, I think it had been two years since I last took a proper one. As a self-employed person, I'm always looking to fill my "free time" with another photography, dance, or dance-teaching job opportunity. Winter and Spring were pretty darn eventful, I taught dance lessons nearly every day last month, and the thought of going into the school year already burnt out was causing me...stress. Thankfully, I was invited to go with my boyfriend and his family on their annual family vacation to the North Shore and after a lot of hemming and hawing I made the decision to go. I knew I was overdue for some R&R and I thought this would be a great chance to get to know my guy's family better. And I'm so glad I went!
I've got to say, there's something to this vacation idea. I came back more refreshed than ever and found even more love and appreciation for my guy and his amazingly warm, welcoming family!
