Every now and then, if you’re lucky, someone comes into your life and you hit it off right away and you realize that you’ll be friends with this person forever. Alyssa is one of those people for me.

We met the summer of 2012: Alyssa had just joined the dance company I was in – we both still dance for that company – and we were working on a revival of a dance to perform at Orchestra Hall’s final concert before its’ renovation. We soon discovered we had similar taste in music, books, and extra-curricular activities. In addition, we had the same sense of humor. Over the years a thriving and trusting friendship grew and Alyssa is now one of my closet friends.

As you can tell by the photos from her session, Alyssa is quite the yogi. She is one of the best yoga instructors I’ve ever taken class from. Seriously, her yoga classes are the best! And if you’re lucky enough to happen upon one of her classes just know your practice is being led by one extremely talented, insightful, thoughtful lady.
